The Tyndale New Testament Study Group is part of the Tyndale Fellowship for biblical and theological research, based at Tyndale House in Cambridge, and including evangelical scholars from all over the world.
This year’s NT Study Group will be meeting at Tyndale House from 5th to 7th July. Our theme this year is focussing on Depictions of Jesus in the New Testament. Alongside the main theme, there will also be space to hear papers on other issues in NT study.
The study group is a great opportunity to engage with the best of evangelical scholarship, and to meet other scholars from around the world.
We already have the following who are presenting papers:
- David Wenham
- Christophe Stenchke
- Armin Baum
- Tom Hatina
- Yong Bom Lee
- Aaron White
- Ian Paul
- Eeva John
but would like to invite further contributions. If you would like to offer a paper, either on the subject of depictions of Jesus in the NT, or on another area of NT study, please send a proposal (of not more than 300 words) to the group’s Secretary, Dr Sarah Whittle sw******@*********ac.uk by Monday 20th March 2017. We are always interested in hearing from established scholars but also in encouraging younger scholars and those still engaged in initial research.

Is this conference open to those who are not members of TNTSG? I am trying to find a home for a paper on Ro 18-22 on the translation of ktisis as humanity and not creation. I consider ktisis, phthora and matiotes in rest of NT and apostolic Fathers too. This is how some understand Ro 8 in the early 19th century. It has implications for the interpretation of Ro 8 and would not be like by creationists or environmentalists.
